How to Group Objects in Flash
Grouping objects can be a real time saver if you have several objects that will be moved, rotated, skewed or scaled as a single unit. Grouping is also used to "connect" several objects that will stay together on the stage.
Add a rectangular object to the workspace with the Rectangle tool (r key).
Duplicate the rectangle two times by choosing Edit > Duplicate (Cmd/d (PC-Ctrl/d)).
Using the Selection tool (v key), rearrange the rectangles.
Marquee select all three rectangles and choose Edit > Group (Cmd/g (PC-Ctrl/g)).
