How to Use Photoshop Brush Libraries
Photoshop ships with over 200 preset brushes. If you search on the internet, you'll find thousands more.
Depending on the effect you are attempting, your brush can make it possible.
Open a new image with a white background in Photoshop (File > New).
Select the Brush tool and open the Brushes Palette by clicking the Brushes Palette icon or choosing Window > Brushes.
By default there should be several brushes already loaded in the palette. Click the Brush icons and notice that the options vary based on the brush.
To change the Brush Library, choose a library from the palette pull-down menu. The libraries are listed at the bottom of the menu. Once you select a new library, the old one is replaced.
To re-load the default library, choose Reset Brushes from the menu.
Whenever the library is changed, the brush pull-down palette in the Brush options area is updated.
