How to Create a Contact Sheet in Photoshop
A proof sheet is handy if you are working with a client that wants to view the proofs from a photo shoot.
Another faster and less expensive method is to use a Web Gallery. See Web Gallery topic for more info.
Place all your images for your contact sheet(s) in a single folder on you hard drive.
In Photoshop choose File > Automate > Contact sheet II.
In the Source Images section, select Use Folder and click the Choose button to select the folder with your images.
The document section sets the size of the print with your multiple proof images. The default setting is 8 inches x 10 inches.
The thumbnails section allows you to set the number of proofs per page and the layout.
The lower section enables you to display the image filename next to each image.
Once you are satisfied with your settings, click the OK button and your contact sheet is created.
