How to Use the Photoshop Picture Package Feature

Picture Package is quite useful if you are printing several common size images on sheets of photo paper. For instance you can quickly layout a page of 3-1/2 x 5 images or a page of wallets.

Step One

Convert your source images to the size of your final output. In other words, if you will be printing a page of 3.5 x 5 images, convert your source image to 3.5 x 5 at 300 dpi.

Step Two

With your image open In Photoshop choose File > Automate > Picture Package.

Step Three

In the Document section, Page Size sets the overall print size for the page.

Step Four

For Layout, choose your image output size. In this case we selected 3.5 x 5. For this layout we will print four images per page.

Step Five

The Label section allows you to add text to the printed page.

Step Six

Press OK to create your layout with multiple images.

Package Options

If you wanted to print a mixed sheet of images (i.e., two of one and two of a different image), click on the image thumbnail and choose a new image. To set a custom size, such as 4 x 6, Click the Custom Size button and create a new layout.
