Removing Red Eye
Photoshop CS3 Tutorial
How to Remove Red Eye from Photoshop Images
Red eye occurs when your subject is in a dark area and the pupils enlarge. If your camera flash is directly in front of the subject, the pupil illuminates as red.
Some cameras have a red eye feature that blinks a few times before the shot in an attempt to shrink the pupils. Unfortunately, the rapid blinking makes it impossible to capture a candid shot.
Open an image in Photoshop (File > Open) that suffers from red eye.
The red eye tool has two settings. The first is the Darken Amount. Set Darken Amount to 20%.
The other setting is Pupil Size. With the Pupil Size set to 50%, you would draw a marquee that is twice the width and twice the height of the pupil.
Draw a marquee that includes the pupil and the red eye disappears.
