How to Crop a RAW Image in Photoshop
Shooting in RAW format has multiple advantages over JPG. As you open a RAW image, you can quickly make multiple adjustments and crop the image.
Opening the image in Photoshop, displays the new cropped version.
Open a RAW image file in Photoshop (File > Open).
In the RAW filter, click and hold the Crop tool to view the tool options. You can choose one of the preset aspect ratios or select a custom ratio. Using the Normal setting allows you to set the ratio by dragging.
After selecting the aspect ratio, click and drag to define your crop.
By clicking and dragging the crop corners, you can resize and rotate the crop.
To move the crop, click and drag the interior of the cropped area. To accept your crop and exit the Crop tool, press Enter.
You can always remove the crop by selecting Clear Crop from the Crop tool menu.
